Ms. Moran | Counselor
Sarah Moran, M. Ed., DIA School Counselor
With 20 years of experience in education and seven years as a school counselor, Sarah Moran is dedicated to fostering student success both academically and socially. Holding a BFA in Modern Dance and a Master's in Secondary Education from Texas Christian University, Sarah has worked extensively with Special Education, Bilingual, and ESL students and families across K-12 settings.
Ms. Moran served as the middle school counselor at Pinkston High School for two years before joining the esteemed counseling team at Thomas Jefferson High School in 2020. She is currently the DIA Counselor at T.J. Her passion lies in empowering immigrant and at-risk students and their families to navigate the educational system, unlocking opportunities for college, university, and career success. She takes pride in helping students identify their unique strengths and achieve their academic and personal goals.
An enthusiastic learner, Ms. Moran is a non-native Spanish speaker and is currently studying Hindi. Her interest in cultural diversity extends to her hobbies—studying and performing Spanish flamenco and mastering the castanets. Sarah is committed to ensuring that every student she serves feels valued, supported, and equipped to reach their full potential.
